In this workshop, Cat Aquaviva and Rachel Grant Jackson systematically breakdown every element of a regular class into digestible pieces. We’ll explore every facet of the yoga practice: the poses (asana), breath (pranayama) and philosophy. We’ll focus on learning the alignment basics of common asanas so that you feel confident practicing in a regular group class. You’ll discover the art of pranayama techniques and feel its profound effect on the body and mind. We’ll weave together the physical learning with an introduction to the ancient philosophy upon which the practice is based so you that you can truly begin to understand the transformative power of this practice.
